Jelly Park Recreation and Sport Centre - Christchurch
Forman Building Systems

The revitalised Jelly Park swimming pool complex in Christchurch , built by Mainzeal for the Christchurch City Council , opened to the public this month and was an immediate success. This state of the art facility has incorporated Renhurst's  Rippletone perforated  aluminium ceilings providing a high noise reduction co-efficient (  NRC) of  0.80.

Warren and Mahoney Architecture, chose the proven life span offered by Renhurst ceiling's 20 year track record  in swimming pool environments . The architects use of the Renhurst ceiling to create a series of curves results in the ceiling having a gentle wave motion  which sets the facility apart from the ordinary enclosed pools.

Christchurch City Councils' , Western Area Recreation Manager, Simon Battrick is particularly pleased with the excellent light reflectance provided by the ceiling the new pool areas saying " the space has a very clean, bright and welcoming feel " .

In addition to the Renhurst ceiling Forman Building Systems also supplied Foamglas(R) cellular glass insulation to the mechanical services piping.
